Here at Sunderland, we have a fantastic Students' Union which is headed by 5 sabbatical officers, and 4 non-sabbatical officers. The sabbatical officers (full-time, paid members of staff) in post are:

As a students' union, we are the link between the students, and the University, meeting on a regular basis with the executive committee of Uiniversity ensuring any needs are met and problems rectified. We also have a wide range of clubs and societies for people to join, and run numerous awareness and charity campaigns throughout the year in order to help as many people who need it is possible.

We have three media sources including Degrees North, our student magazine, SSTV, our student TV station, and SparkFM, our student and now community fulltime radio station.

Finally we have the entertainments and nightlife. We have two Students' Union venues, a smaller bar called The Bonded Warehouse which sits on the river wear one of halls of residence, and a nightclub, CAMPUS, which is a 1700 super-venue which host regular theme nights as well as gigs. Past acts include Little Boots, Ne-Yo, JLS and The Beautiful South.
