Fenham is an area to the west of Newcastle's city centre. It encompasses a fairly large area. In Fenham there are a few particular roads or areas you'll find lots of students, such as Brighton Grove or Sydney Grove and further out of the city, Fenham Hall Drive.

Opinions:

Fenham gets a bad rep, and to be fair it's not as nice a place to live as some areas in Newcastle. However, it's not true that you either need to be very fast, or own a gun to survive in Fenham! I lived their for two years, and loved it. It's near town, there's loads of food shops, and you can get a house for £40 a week.
